Ruth Ann Fritz

Ruth Ann Fritz, MSN, RN, CNS, has been a registered nurse since 1979 and brings decades of experience in critical care, nephrology, and clinical nursing leadership to Nephrology Specialists of Tulsa. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oral Roberts University and completed her Master of Science in Nursing as an Acute Care Clinical Nurse Specialist at the University of Oklahoma. Her long-standing dedication to patient-centered care, staff education, and clinical excellence has shaped a career focused on optimizing patient outcomes and supporting the development of nursing professionals.

In her role at Nephrology Specialists of Tulsa, she collaborates closely with nephrologists to manage care across dialysis units, hospital settings, and outpatient clinics. She provides patient and staff education, coordinates care planning and consultations, and supports quality improvement initiatives. Her clinical expertise spans chronic and acute kidney disease management, hypertension, renal pharmacology, and care of geriatric and complex patients. She has also served as faculty for continuing education programs, teaching future clinical nurse specialists about prescriptive authority and nephrology care.

Beyond her professional work, she is deeply committed to her community, church activities, and family life. Married for 48 years, she is a mother of three grown children and a grandmother to five grandchildren. In her personal time, she enjoys reading, cross-stitching, and traveling, reflecting her belief in balance, lifelong learning, and wellness.
