Katherine Barkat, MBA, BSN, LSSBB, has served as Chief Executive Officer of KidneyCare Oklahoma since August 2022, bringing more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience across clinical operations, service line growth, and performance improvement. With an early foundation in nursing and advanced training in operational excellence as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, she is known for aligning strategy, quality, and execution to achieve measurable, sustainable results.
Throughout her career, Katherine has led complex healthcare organizations through growth and transformation, emphasizing scalable systems, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered models of care. Her leadership approach integrates data-driven decision-making with practical operational insight, supporting high-quality care delivery while strengthening organizational performance and long-term sustainability.
Katherine has built strong partnerships across Tulsa’s leading health systems, including Ascension St. John, Saint Francis, and Hillcrest Ardent. She has led multi-hospital operational initiatives, supported joint venture development, and implemented process redesign efforts focused on improving access, throughput, care coordination, and patient outcomes.
