Prashanth Reddy, MD, is a board-certified nephrologist with specialized training in interventional nephrology. He practices with KidneyCare Oklahoma, where he provides both comprehensive nephrology care and advanced interventional services to support patients with kidney disease and dialysis access needs.
Dr. Reddy completed his nephrology fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center, training across academic, county, and Veterans Affairs hospitals while caring for a diverse patient population. His fellowship included extensive experience in peritoneal dialysis, critical care nephrology, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and kidney transplant care in collaboration with the Clements University Hospital transplant program. He completed his internal medicine residency, serving as Chief Resident, at Medical City Fort Worth, and earned his medical degree from Aureus University School of Medicine.
As an interventional nephrologist, Dr. Reddy specializes in dialysis access evaluation and minimally invasive procedures designed to improve access function and patient outcomes. He is ASDIN HVA–certified and performs a wide range of procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, thrombectomies, stent placements, tunneled dialysis catheter placement and exchange, and peritoneal dialysis catheter placement. He has expertise across all dialysis modalities and works closely with care teams to reduce complications and improve long-term access durability.
Dr. Reddy is known for his patient-centered approach and clear communication style. He emphasizes continuity of care and collaboration with nephrologists, dialysis staff, and referring providers to ensure coordinated, high-quality treatment for patients at every stage of kidney disease.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Reddy has a background in medical research, having completed a research internship at the National Institutes of Health (NIDDK). He remains committed to ongoing education and staying current with advances in nephrology and interventional care.
