Understanding Chronic Renal Failure
Chronic renal failure is also known as chronic kidney disease (CKD), and is a condition where the kidneys lose their ability to filter waste products and fluid from the blood. It also increases the risk of other health conditions, including heart disease and stroke.
Chronic renal failure is a common condition, and affects 1-in-7 adults, or 15% of the U.S. adult population.
