Sunil Agrawal, MD, is a board-certified nephrologist with more than 15 years of experience in clinical care, academic teaching, and healthcare leadership. He practices with KidneyCare Oklahoma, where he brings nationally recognized expertise in dialysis operations, value-based kidney care, and physician leadership to support high-quality, patient-centered nephrology care.
Dr. Agrawal earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and completed his medical education at Saint George’s University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in internal medicine and fellowship training in nephrology at the University of Kentucky. He is board certified in both internal medicine and nephrology and maintains advanced life support certification.
Throughout his career, Dr. Agrawal has combined clinical excellence with strategic leadership across private practice, dialysis organizations, and health system partnerships. At KidneyCare Oklahoma, he plays an active role in advancing innovative care models and strengthening collaboration with regional and national partners. His leadership includes spearheading value-based care initiatives across the Texas–Oklahoma region, improving quality metrics, reimbursement performance, and care coordination for patients with kidney disease.
Dr. Agrawal has led targeted quality improvement efforts that increased optimal dialysis starts through coordinated, multidisciplinary care planning. He has also contributed to organizational growth through physician recruitment, dialysis medical directorships, and strategic contract negotiations, supporting long-term clinical and operational stability.
In addition to his clinical and leadership roles, Dr. Agrawal is actively involved in medical education and industry collaboration. He is a national speaker at conferences and continuing medical education programs and serves on advisory and leadership boards within the pharmaceutical and dialysis industries. His work in clinical innovation includes the implementation of advanced renal replacement therapies, such as CRRT and CVVHDF, within hospital systems.
