Alpana Pasricha, MD, is a board-certified nephrologist and physician leader with more than two decades of experience delivering comprehensive, patient-centered kidney care. She has served as Managing Partner of Nephrology Specialists of Tulsa for the past 18 years and has played a central role in the practice’s growth and evolution since joining in 2006. Dr. Pasricha provides comprehensive nephrology care across the full disease spectrum, from early-stage chronic kidney disease to advanced renal failure and critical care, serving patients in outpatient, hospital, and dialysis settings.
Her practice encompasses chronic kidney disease management, hypertension, in center and home dialysis, electrolyte disorders and critical care nephrology. She has recognized expertise in home dialysis therapies and serves as a Physician Home Champion in Tulsa, acting as a resource for nephrologists to advance home-based care while helping patients to successfully manage treatment options that support independence and quality of life. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member at OSU Medical Center, where she is actively involved in teaching and mentoring resident physicians.
Dr. Pasricha earned her medical degree from Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi, India in 1994. She also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. She went on to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at Resurrection Westlake Medical Center, Illinois, where she served as the Chief Resident, followed by fellowship in nephrology at Loyola University Medical Center, Illinois.
Dr. Pasricha is known for her collaborative, education-focused approach to care. She emphasizes empowering patients to understand their condition and actively participate in treatment decisions, an approach that has been particularly impactful in helping patients thrive with home dialysis therapies. She focuses on thoughtful, individualized treatment and long-term patient engagement, with a focus on improving both outcomes and quality of life.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Pasricha enjoys staying active through gym workouts, resistance training, and yoga. She is a devoted mother of two and enjoys spending time with her family and traveling together.
