She earned her medical degree from Calicut Medical College and completed internal medicine residency training at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center and Ochsner Clinic Foundation. She completed fellowship training in nephrology at Louisiana State University School of Medicine and the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
